ARTHUR MELVIN ‘ED’ FOSTER

Services for Arthur Melvin “Ed” Foster, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Fair River Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.

Mr. Foster, 80, died July 10, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County onJune 13, 1929, to Arthur Foster and Joysie Smith Foster.

He was retired from Georgia-Pacific. He was a member of FairRiver Baptist Church, where he was a longtime deacon. He was also aU.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a Mason at the FairRiver Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, W.J., Boyce, Burns, R. O., Braxton and Billy Joe Foster; and hissister, Stella Mae James.

Survivors are his wife, Iva Nell Foster, of Brookhaven; his son,Dean Foster and wife, Linda, of Brookhaven; his devoted pet,Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
