Services for A.J. Moody, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Friday, July17, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhaven with burial inLiberty Cemetery in Liberty.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Moody, 84, died July 15, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born on July 29, 1924, to LorenzoMoody and Effie Luguinie.

He retired as an inspector from Georgia Pacific in Gloster. Mr.Moody served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was ofBaptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Julia Mae Moody, of Brookhaven; a son,Herbert “Butch” Allen Moody, of Centerville; his daughters, SusanGraves and husband, Greg, of Liberty, and Cynthia L. Perkins andhusband, Roy, of Centerville; his five grandchildren; and his threegreat-grandchildren.
