Charles ‘Darwin’ Pead

Services for Charles “Darwin” Pead, of West Valley, Utah, werenoon Monday, July 13, at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Valley View Memorial Park.

Mr. Pead, 62, died July 7, 2009, after battling a terminalillness. He was born in Afton, Wyo., on Nov. 16, 1946, to DelbertPead and Myrtle Nelson Pead.

He graduated from Star Valley High School and the University ofSouthern Mississippi. He married his sweetheart, Peggy Ramona Ward,on Aug. 1, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In his earlier years, heenjoyed fishing and hunting. He has always loved and participatedin music, including playing the guitar and singing. He loved tospend time with his family, especially his three grandsons. Mr.Pead served an L.D.S. Mission in Switzerland and later served inmany positions in his ward and stake.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy; a daughter, Teresa Durrant; hissiblings, W. Gene Pead and Edie Schroder; and his threegrandchildren.
