Services for Roy Lawrence Rutland, of Jackson, are 2 p.m.Thursday, July 23, at Community Funeral Services Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Easthaven Cemetery on Monticello Streetin Brookhaven.

Mr. Rutland, 61, died July 20, 2009, at River Region MedicalCenter in Vicksburg. He was born in Tylertown on Oct. 9, 1947, toErnest Rutland and Mandy King Rutland.

He attended Monticello public schools. Mr. Rutland was aconstruction worker with Belk Construction in Jackson.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ernest Rutland andMandy King Rutland; his brothers, Gene Calhoun, Lavern Arnold,James Earl Rutland and Thomas Earl Rutland; and a sister, AnnieMerle Rutland.

Survivors are his sons, Brad Lambert, of Lafayette, La., andChad Lambert, of Monticello; a daughter, Dana Rutland, ofBrookhaven; his brothers, David Earl Rutland and Glen Ray Rutland,both of Brookhaven, Benny Dean Rutland and Donald Earl Rutland,both of Monticello; his sisters, Ernestine Boyd, Mable Jadoon,Brenda Lockwood, of Tennessee, and Jeanette Fuller, of Brookhaven;and his two grandchildren.
