Richard O’Neal Harveston
Services for Richard O’Neal Harveston, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapelwith burial in Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Harveston, 76, died Aug. 6, 2009, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Nov. 16, 1932, to John S. Harveston andMyrtis Furr Harveston.
He retired from the oil field. He served in the U.S. Army duringthe Korean conflict.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John S. Harveston andMyrtis Furr Harveston; a brother, Charles Harveston; his sisters,Lois Fairchilds, Edna Furlow, Dorothy Scoggins and Margie Nevels;and a son-in-law, Ricky Bennett.
Survivors are his wife, Irene Harveston; his sons, Steve Case,Ricky Case and wife, Ilene, Danny Harveston and wife, Patsy, RogerHarveston and Luke Harveston; his daughters, Brenda Gay Bennett andTina Russell and husband, Tim Russell; his sisters, BettyMontgomery and Joann Haynes; his nine grandchildren, Daniel O’NealHarveston, Brady Russell, Patrick Russell, Rachel Peterman, AaronBennett, Brandy Robbins, Crystal Harveston, Ashley Harveston andClint Case; his eight great-grandchildren.

Odis Roberts
Services for Odis Roberts, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on North Jackson Streetwith burial in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 6 until 10 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Roberts, 84, died Aug. 5, 2009, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 18, 1924, to JamesOscar Roberts and Velma Mae Smith Roberts.
He was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, CarlRoberts and Worneal Roberts; a sister, Lula B. Wilson Boyd; anephew, Carl David Roberts; and a great niece, Kathy Love.
Survivors are a nephew, Royce Wilson and wife, Lea, of BogueChitto; his nieces, Beverly Durham and husband, Jesse, of BogueChitto, Katie Love and husband, David, of Brookhaven, Joyce Farmerand husband, Danny, of Summit, and Carolyn Link and husband, James,of Crystal Springs; his step nephews, Walter Humphrey, of Jackson,and Ronnie Humphrey, of Summit; his sisters-in-law, LyllianRoberts, of Bogue Chitto, and Jean Roberts, of Summit; his greatnieces, Jeanette Wallace and husband, M.L., of Morton, and Ann andChelsea.
