Services for Hiram Britt, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Monday,Aug. 10, at Red Star Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andMonday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Mr. Britt, 82, died Aug. 8, 2009, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County Oct. 25, 1926, to Nathan A. Britt and SarahFalvey Britt.

He was a retired carpenter and building inspector for FarmersHome Administration. He was a member of Red Star Ward of the Churchof Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a U.S. Army veteranthat served in World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, ArcolaBrady, Eunice Smith and Winnie V. Hurst; and his brother, EdwardBritt.

Survivors are his wife, Almarie Stevens Britt, of Brookhaven;his daughter, Anna Marie Kimble and husband, Sammy, of Brookhaven;his brother, Heber Britt, of Brookhaven; his sister, DorothyHamrick, of Brookhaven; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Brett andJackson.
