Addison Snow Blackwell

Graveside services for Addison Snow Blackwell were 6 p.m.Saturday, Aug. 15, at Pleasant Ridge United Pentecostal ChurchCemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.

The infant died Aug. 13, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born on Aug. 13, 2009, to RobertBlackwell.

Survivors are his father; his brother, Cayden Blackwell; agrandmother, Betty Landrum; his great-grandparents, Bobby andPatricia Jenkins; his great-great-grandmother, Edna Snow McCaffery;and his aunt and uncles.

Jackie ‘Jack’ Davis

Services for Jackie “Jack” Davis, of Roxie, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadvillewith burial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville. The Rev. Charlie Sealewill officiate.

Mr. Davis, 67, died Aug. 17, 2009, at his residence. He was bornin Carthage on Dec. 23, 1941, to Willie Jefferson Davis and EulaMay Alford Davis.

He was an industrial mechanic.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a stepson, Jerry DaleBedford; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Josephine Pierce, of Roxie; hisstepdaughters, Debbie Holmes, of Roxie, and Liz Myers, of DeRidder, La.; a brother, Jimmy Davis and wife, Jewell, ofBrookhaven; a sister, Bobbie West and husband, John, of Smithdale;his five grandchildren, Michelle Sizemore, Anna Bedford, DanielleHolmes, Hayley Bedford and George Nichols Jr.; and a host of niecesand nephews.

Pallbearers are Timmy Brown, Keith Brown, Larry Davis, EarlDavis, Darryl Davis, Steven Smith and Jeff Smith.

Cooper Rhys Frazier

Services for Cooper Rhys Frazier, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 20, at Union Primitive Baptist Church in Ruth withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service in Brookhaven.

The infant died Aug. 15, 2009, at Texas Children’s Hospital. Hewas born on Aug. 13, 2009, to Jason Frazier and Kristi ThompsonFrazier.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandfathers, David Smith,Herman Frazier, Charles Boyd and Donald Thompson; and hisgreat-grandmothers, Helen Boyd and Betty Thompson.

Survivors are his parents; his sisters, Alex Frazier, RachelFrazier, Julianna Frazier and Jacey Frazier; his grandparents,Wayne and Shirley Thompson, of Ruth, and Mack and Hilda Frazier, ofJayess; his great-grandparents, Lois Smith, of Bogue Chitto, andBillie Frazier, of Saucier; his aunts and uncles, Alana and BrianJohnston, of Flowood, Ronny and Mandi Thompson and Brandi and ChrisMcCaffrey, of Ruth; his cousins, Lauren Parker, Tripp McCaffrey andTurner and Railey Thompson.

Maude Lancaster Lewis

Services for Maude Lancaster Lewis, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 20, at First United Methodist Church with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive.

Mrs. Lewis, 96, died Aug. 17, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Florala, Ala., on April 12, 1913, to Henry Lancaster andFannie Cox Lancaster.

She taught at Mamie Martin Elementary School in Brookhavenbefore retiring. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.She was also a member of the Peripatetic Club, Garden Club, RetiredTeachers and the 50-plus Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, James Lewis, of Brookhaven; a son,Larry Lewis, of Marietta, Ga.; a daughter, Rachel Lewis Freeman, ofVicksburg, Mich.; her four grandchildren, Kim Galland, of Athens,Ga., Jennifer Freeman, of Durham, N.C., John Freeman, of Madison,Wis., Jim Freeman, of Vicksburg, Mich.; and her twogreat-grandchildren, Sara Galland, of Athens, and Rose Freeman, ofMadison, Wis.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Ministries.

Wincie E. Moak

Services for Wincie E. Moak, of Denham Springs, La., and nativeof Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Seale FuneralHome Chapel in Denham Springs with burial in Roselawn Memorial Parkin Baton Rouge, La. The Rev. Cletus Moak and Deacon Peter Schlettewill officiate.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moak, 69, died Aug. 17, 2009, in Baton Rouge.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas and IceleneMoak; and his brothers, James Ralph Moak and Edwin Gerald Moak.

Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Rosie Zito Moak; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Lori Moak Pabst and husband, Darryl J.and Patricia Moak Barnes and husband, Johnny; his brothers andsisters-in-law, Alvin “Buck” and Lisa Moak, David “Rod” and MickeyMoak, the Rev. Cletus and Linda Moak, Douglas and Wanda Moak andPatsy Moak; his three grandchildren, Dylan J. Pabst, Hunter K.Pabst and Carly Ann Pabst; his two step-grandchildren, Billy J.Barnes and wife, Lesley and Christina Barnes; his threestep-great-grandchildren, Ethan Barnes, Bentley and Kaden Barnes;and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Hunter Pabst, Dylan Pabst, Alvin “Buck” Moak,Douglas Moak, Brian Moak and Tim Moak.

Honorary pallbearers are David Moak, Anthony Adams, MatthewAdams, Micheal Prokop, Robert Prokop and the Story’s Coffee ClubMen.

Winnie Maude Posey

Services for Winnie Maude Posey, of Meadville, are 11 a.m.Thursday, Aug. 20, at Providence Baptist Church in Meadville withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Franklin FuneralHome and Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Posey, 92, died Aug. 18, 2009, at Franklin County MemorialHospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County on Sept. 15,1916, to G.C. Oglesby and Daisy Bell Oglesby.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Providence BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RalphPosey; and her three sisters.

Survivors are a son, Ken Posey and wife, Karen, of Casper, Wyo.;a daughter, Martha Dickey and husband, Sonny, of Meadville; her twograndchildren, Dr. William P. Dickey III and wife, Leigh, ofNatchez, and Haley Elizabeth Dickey, of Baton Rouge, La.; and hertwo great-grandchildren, Mallory Claire Dickey and Carter BenjaminDickey.
