Services for James Anthony Walter “Ba Ba” Dillon Jr., ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Bethel AME Church inBrookhaven with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Dillon, 56, died Aug. 17, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 23, 1953,to James Dillon Sr. and Irma Washington Dillon.

He was a former custodian at Brookhaven High School. He servedin the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bethel AME Church inBrookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, SherryJohnson and Lisa Benjamin; and a step-granddaughter, ChakaSimmons.

Survivors are his wife, Leatrice Simmons Dillon, of Brookhaven;his stepsons, Ronald Simmons, of Huntsville, Ala., and RandySimmons, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Gwen Dillon, Jackie Dillon,both of Brookhaven, Vicki McGee, of Chicago, Ill., Marsha Dillon,Nikki Benjamin, Camero Newton and Debra Calcote, all ofBrookhaven.
