Services for Billy Case Walker, of Roxie, are 3 p.m. Sunday,Aug. 23, at Roxie Baptist Church with burial in Roxie Cemetery.Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.
Mr. Walker, 86, died Aug. 21, 2009, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in Copiah County on March 27,1923, to Rufus Walker and Mary Case Walker.
He was retired from Chevron Oil Co. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army, having served during World War II with the 325th Search Light& Anti-Aircraft in Battalion B. He fought in Okinawa and servedduring the victory over Japan. He was an avid sportsman andwoodcrafter. He was a Mason and Shriner for over 50 years with theS.B. Stampley Lodge #222 of Roxie.
Mr. Walker and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States,Mexico and Canada. He was an avid supporter of his grandsons intheir activities. He was a member of Roxie Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother.
Survivors are his wife, Norma Johnson Walker, of Roxie; his son,Eddie Walker and wife, Cathy, of Natchez; and his grandsons, AndrewWalker and Austin Walker.
