The Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougar slowpitch softball team went2 and 2 Saturday in the Parklane Tournament.

Brookhaven fell to Parklane 10-0 in the first game, rallied tobeat Hillcrest Christian 8-6 in the second contest, clipped EastRankin 7-6 in the third game and was hammered 14-1 by Copiah in thefourth game,

Amite School Center visits BA (4-9) today for 2 games. Thejunior varsity game begins at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at6:15.

Terah Winborne singled for the Cougars. Callie Cole (1K, 5BBs)was the losing hurler.

BA 8, Hillcrest 6

Winning pitcher Laura Beth Wright (1K, 5Bbs) powered the LadyCougars with a pair of singles. Cole tripled. Meredith Allen, AnnaKatelyn Mangold, Laura Ellett and Winborne singled.

BA 7, East Rankin 6

Powering BA at the plate with 3 singles was Wright. Allensingled twice. Hitting safely were Mangold and Cole (4Ks, 3Bbs) whowas the winning hurler.

Copiah 14, BA 1

Ashley Wilson, Mollie Smith, Allen and Wright singled for theLady Cougars. Cole (1K, 5BBs) took the loss and is 3-8 on theseason.
