Services for Alton “Brother” Jones, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Sept. 12, at Cool Springs M.B. Church in McCall Creekwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Jones, 49, died Sept. 4, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in FranklinCounty on March 3, 1960, to Mike Jones Sr. and Louisa McCoryJones.

He was a graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center. Mr. Joneswas a handyman.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Louis”Pete” Jones and Henry Lee Jones; and a sister, Lena Mae Bass.

Survivors are his brothers, Albert Jones and wife, Annette, ofMt. Morris, Mich., Lamar Jones and wife, Sandra, of Flint, Mich.,Mike Jones and Jesse Jones, both of Brookhaven; his sisters, CarrieJones, of Flint, Gloria Turner, of Burton, Mich., Gladys Jones, ofBrookhaven, and Dorothy Lewis and husband, Winfrey, of Louisville,Ky.; a special aunt, Ella Mae “Cat” Washington, of Summit; and ahost of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.
