Services for Billy Joe “Bear” Williamson, of Bogue Chitto, are 2p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Williamson, 74, died Sept. 11, 2009, at his residence. Hewas born on Oct. 24, 1934, to Ilance C. “Sue” Williamson andOphelia Lester Williamson.

He was a truck driver, dairy farmer and former owner ofWilliamson Tire. He was a member of Wellman Baptist Church. Mr.Williamson was a member of the Topisaw Masonic Lodge and WahabiShrine Temple.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ilance C. “Sue”Williamson and Ophelia Lester Williamson; and a sister, MargieKimble.

Survivors are his wife, Geraldine Williamson; his sons, Billy”Peanut” Williamson, of Laurel, Dale “Yogi” Williamson and wife,JoAnn, of Bogue Chitto, and Lance Williamson and wife, Cassie, ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Sherry Williams and husband, Rusty, ofBogue Chitto, Connie Hamilton and husband, Mike, of Brookhaven, and Ouida Malone and husband, Manny, of Bogue Chitto; his brothers,David Williamson and wife, Brenda, of Summit, and Jimmy Williamson,of Summit; his 17 grandchildren, Kevin Williams, Kerry Williams,Kyle Williams, Allen Hamilton, Joseph Malone, Jeremy Malone, AustinMalone, Michelle Hall, Kelly Porter, Angie Smith, Jenny Edwards,Vance Williamson, Shantay Bates, Maggie Williamson, AbigailWilliamson, Anna Williamson and Audrey Williamson; and his 15great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries in Brookhaven.
