Graveside services for Mable G. Broome, of Baton Rouge, La., are2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hickory Grove Baptist ChurchCemetery in Hickory Grove. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Broome, 73, died Sept. 25, 2009, after a lengthy battlewith cancer.

She was a retired data processor for the State of Louisiana anda resident of Baton Rouge since 1958.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 53 years, James T.Broome; and a brother, Clinton Harrell.

Survivors are her sons, Lonnie Broome and Danny Broome, both ofBaton Rouge; a sister, Marie Eckles, of Zachary, La.; her threegrandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, friends and other relatives.
