Services for Fannie Mae Black, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Pine Grove M.B. Church in Sontag with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 7 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Black, 68, died Sept. 30, 2009, in the King’s DaughtersMedical Center emergency room. She was born in Lincoln County onJan. 23, 1941, to James Leggett and Estee Martin Leggett.

She was a food server at Ability Works in Brookhaven. She was amember of Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, DorothyPorter, Erma J Smith and Helen Shephard.

Survivors include her husband, Jessie W. Black, of Brookhaven;her sons, Edward Leggett, of Wesson, and Andrew Black, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Verlene Leggett, Laura Kelly andKathleen Black, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, J.C. Leggett, ofBude, Jessie Lee Leggett, of Brookhaven, Calvin Leggett and KennethEarl Leggett, both of Sontag, and Sammy Lee Leggett, of Brookhaven;her sisters, Cola Mae McGee, of Sontag, Betty Stingley, of Canton,Mary Allen, of Sontag, Clementine Black and Nicole Martin, both ofBrookhaven, and Myrtis Brown, of Sontag; 11 grandchildren; and fivegreat-grandchildren.
