Services for Donald S. Weeks, of Monticello, are 3 p.m. Friday,Oct. 16, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church with burial inBethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Weeks, 72, died Oct. 14, 2009, at his residence. He was bornin Madison County on Dec. 2, 1936, to Homer L. Weeks and NattieHill Weeks.

After serving Monticello for 30 years as a rural mail carrierfor Route 1, Mr. Weeks retired with a total of 40 years with theU.S. Postal Service. He also served 10 years with the Air NationalGuard. He was a member of Monticello Methodist ProtestantChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, HomerWeeks Jr. and Bill Weeks.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Calcote Weeks, of Monticello; ason, Donnie S. Weeks Jr., of Monticello; his daughters, JanieBlakeney and Judy Boone, both of Monticello; a brother, WalterWeeks, of Madison; his seven grandchildren; and agreat-grandchild.
