Memorial services for Ellis Emfinger, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 25, at Community United Methodist Church in Fayette.Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Emfinger, 90, died Oct. 20, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn on May 9, 1919, to Carley Eli Emfinger and Seleta PratherEmfinger.

He retired as a millwright from International Paper in Natchez.Mr. Emfinger also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Hewas a member of Community United Methodist Church.

His wife, Ruth Emfinger, preceded him in death by 11 days. Alsopreceding him in death were his parents, Carley and SeletaEmfinger; and his brothers, Roy Emfinger, Cletus Emfinger and ProbyEmfinger.

Survivors are his daughters, Helen and Randy Day, of Brookhaven,and Mamie and Roland Jones, of California; a sister-in-law, AnnieMae Strittman Emfinger; his five grandchildren, Bruce Butler andKim Butler, Kim and Dwayne Bullock, Brandy and Derek Smith, all ofBrookhaven, Preston Wilcox and Steve Jones, of California; his 10great-grandchildren, Holden and Reid Butler, Jerred, Peyton andMarleigh Bullock, Tristyn, Savana and Karli Martin, of Brookhaven,and Donovan and Bailey Wilcox, of California; and a host of nieces,nephews and other family members.

Honorary pallbearers are his great-grandsons, Jerred Bullock,Holden Butler, Reid Butler and Peyton Bullock.

Memorials may be made to the Community United Methodist Churchin Fayette.
