Services for James B. May, of Summit, are 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.27, at Pisgah United Methodist Church with burial in HollywoodCemetery. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. May, 81, died Oct. 25, 2009, at Southwest MississippiMedical Center in McComb. He was born March 9, 1928, in LincolnCounty. He was the son of Dudley and Eula Brown May.

Mr. May was retired from BellSouth and a member of TelecomPioneers. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Hebelonged to John A. Quitman Lodge No. 244 F & AM. He was aveteran of the U.S. Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Emily HewittMay; one brother, Winford May; four sisters, Mildred Reeves,Lavelle Lewis, Imelda Johnston and Thelma Wells.

He is survived by one son , Dudley “Dud” May, of Summit; onedaughter, Dianne Wilkinson, of Summit; two sisters, Hilda Douglas,of Brookhaven, and Fay Hancock, of Summit; and threegrandchildren.

Services for Wilvie Van Sharp III, of Crystal Springs, are 2p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Stringer Family Chapel in Crystal Springswith burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Preceding him in death was a son, Michael DeWayne Sharp.

He is survived by sons, Bud Sharp, of Crystal Springs, and EricSharp, of Wesson; his father and stepmother, Wilvie and CarolineSharp Jr., of Hattiesburg; stepfather and mother Eugene and HelenPhillips, of Crystal Springs; half brother Donald Sharp, ofSeminary; sisters, Wanda Womble, of New Orleans, La., Wendy Marcum,of Hattiesburg, Lisa Bethea, of Perkinston; and twograndchildren.
