Services for Maxwell Davis Noble, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Friday,Oct. 30, at Union Church Presbyterian Church in Union Church withburial in Fayette Cemetery in Fayette. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Noble, 87, died Oct. 24, 2009, at Hospice Ministries. He wasborn on Jan. 6, 1922, to Sophie Witney Bland and Felix RandolphNoble.

He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. in Natchezafter 32 years of service. He was a member of Union ChurchPresbyterian Church. Mr. Noble was a World War II veteran havingserved in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942 until 1945; and he earnedtwo campaign ribbons with two bronze stars. He was filled withrestless energy and enjoyed fishing, gardening and caring for hisyard.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 50 years,Mary Ruth Noble; a daughter, Nancy Noble Flowers; a brother, FelixRandolph Noble III; and a sister, Dorothy Bland Noble Malik.

Survivors include his sons, Maxwell Davis Noble Jr. and wife,Sharon, of Sugarland, Texas, and Felix “Ronnie” Randolph Noble IVand wife, Martha, of McCall Creek; his daughter, Mary Davis Byrdand husband, Bruce, of Wesson; his brother, Lucian Bland Noble, ofFayette; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and onegreat-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made toFayette Cemetery or Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
