James Edward Furlow

Services for James Edward Furlow, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m.Sunday, Nov. 8, at New Sight Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Furlow, 71, died Nov. 5, 2009, at his residence. He was bornon May 2, 1938, to Ulysses Furlow and Eva Nell Byrd Furlow.

He was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of New SightBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Vera.

Survivors are his wife, Troy Lynn Furlow, of Brookhaven; adaughter, Michelle Furlow; a sister, Mary Nell Martin; his father-and mother-in-law, Hillary and Virginia Dixon, of Brookhaven; andseveral nephews and nieces.

Brandi Stephens Smith

Services for Brandi Stephens Smith, of Monticello, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello withburial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Smith, 28, died Nov. 7, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on March 28, 1981, to Jackie Stephens and PerriHenson Stephens.

Mrs. Smith was a lifetime resident of Monticello. She was a busdriver for Lawrence County Schools. She was also a member of BethelBaptist Church in Monticello.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Survivors are her father; her husband, Lyn Smith; a daughter,Lilliann Bel Smith, of Monticello; and her grandparents, Vick andDaisy Ray Stephens, of Monticello.
