Services for Mary Seyfarth Jacks, of Brookhaven, formerly ofFranklin County, are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Franklin CountyFuneral Home Chapel in Meadville with burial in Midway Cemetery inFranklin County.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Jacks, 81, died Dec. 4, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Natchez onFeb. 23, 1928, to Dr. Oscar T. Seyfarth and Lizzie Arminta DowneredSeyfarth.
She formerly worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for manyyears and retired as the owner/operator of a children’s store. Shewas a member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edgar PaulJacks Sr.; and a daughter, Becky J. Hawkins.
Survivors are a son, Edgar Paul Jacks Jr., of Brookhaven; adaughter, Pat J. Farmer, of Crystal Springs; a brother, HueySeyfarth, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Dora Summerall, of BatonRouge, La.; her three grandchildren; and her threegreat-grandchildren.
