Henry A. ‘Shorty’ Pate

A memorial service for Henry A. “Shorty” Pate, of Brookhaven,began at noon Thursday, Dec. 10, at the home of the family at 3201Union Road Southeast in Brookhaven. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pate, 68, died Dec. 8, 2009, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born on March 9, 1941, to A.C. “Lum” Pateand Minnie Givens Pate.

He was retired from McDermott Oil Field Construction in theoverseas division.

Preceding him in death were his father, A.C. “Lum” Pate; hismother, Minnie Givens Pate; his brothers, Buck Pate, L.M. “Shorty”Pate and Jack Pate; and his sisters, Evelyn Pate Brister, Lucy PateBasswell and Alma Pate Bullock.

Survivors are his wife, Cindy Pate; his sons, Peyton and ShanePate, of Cutt-Off, La., and Mark Pate; a stepson, Royal Baudoin, ofWestwego, La.; his daughters, Vicky Pate, of Tennessee, and AngiePate, of Ocean Springs; a brother, A.C. Pate, of Metairie, La.; asister, Alphia Bullock, of Ruth; his 12 grandchildren; and numerousnieces and nephews and other family members.
