Services for Bernice D. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Dec. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on NorthJackson Street with burial in Macedonia Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 77, died Dec. 17, 2009, at Brook Manor inBrookhaven. She was born in Converse, La., on Dec. 23, 1931, toReuben Dixon and Annie May Lee Dixon.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Macedonia BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Marvin R. Smith, of Brookhaven; hersons, Ronald A. Smith and wife, Pam, of Jackson, and Michael LynnSmith and wife, Debbie, of Louisville; her three grandchildren,Chris Smith and wife, Laura, Brett Smith and Stan Smith; agreat-grandchild, Finnian Smith; a brother-in-law and asister-in-law, Sam Smith and Vertress Smith, of Brookhaven.
