Services for Mary Hellon Byrd, of the Auburn community, are 2p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Gum Grove Baptist Church in LincolnCounty with burial in Ramah Cemetery in Franklin County. The Rev.James Sanders will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Hartman-SharkeyFuneral Home in McComb and Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at thechurch.

Mrs. Byrd, 77, died Dec. 20, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Amite County on Oct. 14, 1932, to Thomas Ray Wilson andRuby Dell Bales Wilson.

She was a homemaker and a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church andwas a 20-year member of TOPS.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Bobby JoeByrd; and a brother, Ray G. Wilson.

Survivors are her sons, Joe W. Byrd and wife, Debra, and JimByrd and wife, Nicole, all of Brookhaven; her daughters, CarolynWilliams and husband, Ricky, of Smithdale, Mary Lofton and husband,Mike, of Brookhaven, Bobbie Felder, of Smithdale, and Jeannie K.Holmes and husband, Mark, of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, David Wilsonand wife, Eleanor, of Summit; her sisters, Martha Jordan andhusband, Moody, of Pelahatchie, and Susan Berryhill, of Magnolia;and her grandchildren, Steve Lofton, Dan Lofton, both ofBrookhaven, Sarah Wilson and husband, Robert, of Smithdale, JoeyByrd and wife, Lauren, and Crystal Byrd, all of Brookhaven, andThomas Urban, of Smithdale.

Pallbearers are the deacons of Gum Grove Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve Lofton, Dan Lofton, Joey Byrd,Mark Holmes, Robert Wilson, Thomas Urban and Todd Allred.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gum Grove BaptistChurch, 1233 Gum Grove Road, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
