Jerry Lee Carter

Services for Jerry Lee Carter, of McComb, are 2:30 p.m. Monday,Jan. 4, at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in McComb with burial inGreenlawn Cemetery in Summit. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Carter, 56, died Dec. 29, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born in Pike County on Sept. 8,1953, to Ulysees Carter and Lula Carter.

He was employed with Sanderson Farms for 12 years. He was amember of Sherman M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, AliceShrine Carter; his sister, Emma Lee Carter; and his brothers, JohnHarvey, Clifton Carter and Robert Lee Carter.

Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Carter, of McComb; his daughter,Jemine Carter, of Hattiesburg; his son, Curtis Floyd, of McComb;his brothers, Bobby Carter, of Kentwood, La., and Huey Carter, ofMobile, Ala.; his sisters, Alice Rae Jackson, of Tylertown,Angeline Carter, of Magnolia, Beatrice Ashley, of New Orleans, La.,Janice Tillman and Joyce Tobias, both of Jackson, and Mary AnnCarter, of Mobile, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and onegreat-grandchild.
