Services for Carline Sumrall Greer, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 7, at Topisaw Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service in Brookhaven and Thursday from noon until 2 p.m.at the church.

Mrs. Greer, 72, died Jan. 5, 2010, at Walthall County GeneralHospital. She was born on Oct. 10, 1937, to Willis Leon “Ted”Sumrall and Ruby Polk Sumrall.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Topisaw Baptist Churchwhere she served as a Bible drill coordinator and church trainingdirector for many years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Willis Leon “Ted” andRuby Polk Sumrall; her husband, Jesse Collins “J.C.” Greer; aninfant son; her two infant sisters; and a sister-in-law, AliceElizabeth Batte.

Survivors are a son, Jess Greer and wife, Stephanie, of Jayess;her daughters, Carolyn Welch and husband, Chris, of Bogue Chitto,and Pam Young and husband, Mark, of Laurel; her sisters, Ruby NellBoyd and husband, Dewitt, of Monticello, and Willie Dean Martin andhusband, Darrell, of Gulfport; a brother-in-law, David C. Batte Jr.and wife, Eudora; her eight grandchildren, Courtney and ColtonWelch, Ariel, Damien and Dakota Young, and Sydney, Lyndey andCarley Greer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews andloving friends.
