Services for Freddie R. Miller, of Ruth, are 2 p.m. Friday, Jan.8, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhaven with burial inRuth Cemetery in Ruth.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Miller, 79, died Jan. 3, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born on March 18, 1930, to John W.Miller and May Smith.
He was a machinist and general foreman with Illinois CentralRailroad. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the Korean conflict havingserved in the U.S. Army.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Keith AllenMiller; and his five brothers.
Survivors are his wife, Susie Greer Miller; his sons, KennethRay Miller, of Stillwater, Okla., and Kevin Lee Miller, of BatonRouge, La.; a daughter, Susan Miller Halford, of Ruth; hisbrothers, Edgar Lee Miller, of Jayess, and James Earl Miller, ofChicago, Ill.; a sister, Marie M. Smith, of Dallas, Texas; hisseven grandchildren; and his four great-grandchildren.
