Services for Billy Wayne “Chappy” Wilbert Jr., of Bogue Chitto,are 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Norfield Bethel M.B. Church inNorfield with burial in the Bogue Chitto-Norfield Cemetery in BogueChitto.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary inBrookhaven with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Wilbert, 37, died Jan. 6, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Jackson on May 17, 1972, toBilly Wayne Wilbert Sr. and Myrtle Dillon Wilbert Tate.

He was a 1990 graduate of Calloway High School in Jackson and healso attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Mr. Wilbert wasdisabled. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church Ministry inJackson.

Preceding him in death was his father, Billy Wayne WilbertSr.

Survivors are his mother, Myrtle Tate and husband, John Tate, ofJackson; a daughter, Chaslyn Wilbert, of Jackson; a brother, DarrenStewart, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Wynetta McDougal, of Jackson,and Twanda Wilbert, of Dallas, Texas; a paternal grandfather,Edward Wilbert Sr., of Brookhaven; a maternal grandmother, DaisyFairman, of Bogue Chitto; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and otherrelatives.
