Services for Jerlyn Parnell Langston Hathorn, of Monticello, are2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Monticello Baptist Church in Monticellowith burial in the Masonic Cemetery in Monticello.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello.
Mrs. Hathorn, 82, died Jan. 5, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born on Oct. 1, 1927, to Jesse J. Langston andEula Mae Bourne Langston.
She was a retired floor supervisor for Kellwood Manufactory.After retirement, she worked at the Lawrence County Public Libraryas an assistant. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Thomas C.”Tom” Hathorn; her brothers, Bourne and Joe Langston; and astepdaughter, Sara Brewer.
Survivors are her sons, Ronald Alvin Martin, of Baton Rouge,La., and Sam Hathorn, of Jackson; her daughters, Deborah Carney, ofMonticello, and Patsy Hathorn Raworth, of Jackson; her brothers,Glyn Langston, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Charles Langston, ofThibodeaux, La.; her nine grandchildren; and her 10great-grandchildren.
