Mary Ann Norsworthy Harris, 77, of Olive Branch, passed away onTuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at her home.

She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs.Harris was a lifelong member of Maples Memorial United MethodistChurch in Olive Branch, a member of the Olive Branch Twigs CulturalGroup and a member of the Maples Circle Group.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends, especially hergrandchildren.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. EltonLarone Harris Sr.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Dauphine and PhilMagee, of Brookhaven, Bea Ann and Johnny Pearce, of Olive Branch,and Teree and Mike Sowell, of Olive Branch; 10 grandchildren; andtwo sisters, Betty Espey, of Ocala, Fla., and Faye James, ofJackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and EloiseNorsworthy, of Byhalia; her son, Elton Larone Harris Jr., of OliveBranch; and two sisters, Marie Simmons, of Olive Branch, and JoyceBeard, of Sardis.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday,Jan. 8, at Brantley Funeral home in Olive Branch. Funeral serviceswill be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Maples Memorial United MethodistChurch, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The interment willfollow in Blocker Cemetery.
