Graveside services for James Clay McGuyer, of Monticello, are 2p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. WilsonFuneral Home of Monticello is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McGuyer, 73, died Jan. 18, 2010, at his residence. He wasborn in Louisiana on Oct. 18, 1936, to William N. McGuyer andMildred Curley.

He was retired vice president of Mallard Workover Rigs. Heserved in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Episcopalfaith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, RobbieMcGuyer; and a brother, William N. McGuyer Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Judy McGuyer; his son, James ClayMcGuyer Jr., of Bethesda, Md.; his brother, Paul G. McGuyer, ofCharleston, Ark.; and one grandchild.
