Services for Marie Cotten Lenoir, of Meadville, were held onMonday, Feb. 15, at Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church, withburial in the church cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb wasin charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lenoir, 83, died Feb. 12, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 18, 1926,to Ted Burns and Lillian Hayes Burns.

She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Middleton CreekPrimitive Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, J.W. QuentinCotten and Richard Lenoir; her brothers, Bill Burns and CliftonBurns; and one grandson, Kevin Howell.

Survivors are her sons, James Cotten, of Meadville, and BarryCotten, of Tennille, Ga.; her daughters, Bonna Smith, of McComb,and Sheila Smith, of Meadville; her brothers, Troy Burns, of Pearl,and Ronnie Burns, of Bogue Chitto; her sisters, Lavonne Laird andAlvie Myers, of Brookhaven, Teddy Perere, of Plaquemine, La., andLucille Hicks, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; her 10 grandchildren, 15great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
