Services for Paul Vencie Reed, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Monday, Feb. 22, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Warrick Brister Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Reed, 79, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his lovingfamily on Feb. 20, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He wasborn on Jan. 4, 1931, to Lucius Reed and Rosa Smith Reed.

He was retired from the oil field. He was a member of EasthavenBaptist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Koreanconflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary RushingReed; his daughter, Cindy Lou Reed; and his brother, LinwoodReed.

Survivors are his wife, Nelline Reed; his son, Mike Reed, ofBrookhaven; his stepson, Robin Williamson, of San Diego, Calif.;his daughters, Paula Reed Young and husband, Dusty, of Ponchatoula,La., and Rhonda Lyons and husband, Calvin, of Brookhaven; hisstepdaughter, Holly Kyzar Smith; his brothers, Billy Ray Reed,Bobby Reed and Don Reed, all of Brookhaven, Parley Reed, of Hurley,and Kenneth Reed, of Jackson; his sisters, Ada Anderson and BettyLou Dunaway Eickenloff; his grandchildren, Natalee Barbier, ofTickfaw, La., Dori Reed, of Fayette, Dustin Young, of Ponchatoula,Halley Smith, of Brookhaven, Erin Lyons Griffith, of New Lenox,Ill., Garrett Lyons, of Brookhaven, and Jessica Pope, of Clinton;and four great-grandchildren.
