Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Nordan Sr., of the Wynndale community,announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter,Mary Gabriella Nordan, to Michael Eric Brown.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brown, of Terry.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Cone, ofItta Bena, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon C. Nordan, ofBrookhaven.

He is the grandson of Mary Ammons McMillon, of Clinton, and thelate Harry Ammons, and Dewey Brown, of Byram, and the late DorisBrown.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Terry High School and HindsCommunity College. She received a Bachelor of Science degree inSocial Work from the University of Mississippi, where she was namedSocial Work Student of the Year. She earned a master’s degree fromthe University of Missouri, St. Louis. She is employed as aLicensed Certified Social Worker in the Department of Psychiatry atthe University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Terry High School andMississippi College, and received a Master of Science degree inCriminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi. Healso received the Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School ofLaw, where he was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He isserving as adjunct professor at the Mississippi College School ofLaw and at Mississippi College in Clinton. He is employed as anattorney with Coxwell and Associates in Jackson.

The wedding is Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the home of thebride.
