Services for Austin Lee Wilkinson, of Smithdale, were held onThursday, Feb. 18, at Mt. Gilead Church in Smithdale, with burialin the church cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services were incharge of arrangements.

Mr. Wilkinson, 15, died Feb. 16, 2010, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in McComb on May23, 1994.

He attended West Lincoln Attendance Center until recently, when hebegan home school. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing andtrapping. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Church.

Survivors are his parents, Dwayne and Tonya Wilkinson, ofSmithdale; his paternal grandparents, Sidney and Reba Wilkinson, ofBrookhaven; his maternal grandparents, Hayden and Wanda Parsons, ofSmithdale; and his brother, Cody Lane Wilkinson, of Smithdale.
