Services for Delois Covington Street, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, March 12, at New Sight Baptist Church, with burial in NewSight Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Street, 80, died March 10, 2010, at her residence. She wasborn in Natchez on Jan. 13, 1930, to Houston Russell and DonnaCovington.
She lived in Florida for more than 40 years before moving back toMississippi eight years ago. She worked for the State of Florida asa bridge tender. She was a member of New Sight BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 40 years,Brown “Jeff” Street; and a great-granddaughter, Katie AlishaTutton, of Vernon, Fla.
Survivors are her sons, Roy H. Allen and wife, Alice, of Tomball,Texas, and Glynn Street and wife, Stephanie, of Severn, Md.; herdaughters, Connie Smith and husband, Jimmy Lee, and Jennifer Tindeland husband, Andrew, all of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Roy H.Allen Jr. and wife, Carla, of Magnolia, Texas, Terri Williams andhusband, Alan, of Paris, Texas, Sheli Hohmann and husband, Martin,of Tomball, Selena Hesson and husband, Burke, of Sasche, Texas, KySmith, Jeannie Smith and husband, Tony, of Brookhaven, R.B Streetand wife, Dale, of Severn, Jeffery Tutton, of Bonifay, Fla., andBrandi Tutton and fiancé, Joey Hamm, of Chipley, Fla.; hergreat-grandchildren, Blair, Shelby and Reagan Allen, of Magnolia,Dani, Kati, Nicholas and Kristina Williams, of Paris, Martin, Amberand Erin Hohmann, of Tomball, Taylor, Hartley and Meredith Hesson,of Sasche, Hannah, Dylan, Allie and Tessa Smith, Randall Tutton, ofBonifay, Kaelyn Weyland, Joseph and Alex Hamm, of Chipley; hersister, Helen Masi, of Florida; and her aunt, Lexie Covington, ofBrookhaven.
