How do you feel this morning? If you’re like me, you’re missingthat little extra hour of sleep! I wish it would either stay oneway or the other, it’s the change that wrecks us. We’ll reallyenjoy the sunshine and extra hour of sunlight, however. And howwonderful that spring break is this week, that will postpone thatmad dash tomorrow.

Do you know how fortunate we are to have such good athletes in ourarea? That is such a blessing because this means the youth arepracticing and learning to cope as a team, things they’ll need inlife. Then throw in the musical, academic and other talents and youhave the “makings” of success.

Congratulations this week to the Loyd Star boys and the WestLincoln girls for their appearances at the “Big House” StateBasketball tournaments. It’s always a goal to get to the big house,it’s a big deal. It caps out a great season and it’s anhonor.

I remember the Loyd Star team that won state in 1968, in fact, Iwas at the game. It’s been a long dry spell for a championship, butthere have been some excellent teams and great entertainment inLincoln County this year.

Congratulations to former resident, Michelle Johnson Black, andhusband, Tom, of Oxford, on the birth of their new baby, JoshuaThomas. He weighed a whopping 10 lbs., 10 ozs. He is welcomed bybig brother Carlton, and big sister, Caroline.

Rhonda Smith and T.A. Boyd recently went to Memphis and joinedfriend, Jackie Knox Patterson, and daughter, Jennifer Wallace. Theyall attended an Eric Clapton concert and then visited Beale Street.Of course no trip to Beale Street is complete without a visit toB.B. King’s. They also saw Roger Daltrey in concert.

Congratulations to Hailey and Clay Leggett on their marriage. Proudparents are Doyle and Jennifer Smith, and James and Tracye Leggett.Ole Brook sends out best wishes for your future!
