Rodney Lee Thames

Rodney Lee “Rockin’ Rodney” Thames, age 36, of Gulfport, diedSunday, March 14, 2010, in Gulfport.

He was a native of Valparaiso, Ind., and lived on the coast since1990. He enjoyed fishing and wrestling, and was easy going andnever met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Thames Sr.; twobrothers, Lee Ronnie Thames Jr., and Ronald Thames; and hisgrandparents, Levi and Haughty Davis, and Louis and DollyThames.

Survivors include his wife, Brandie Thomas; his mother, WillieThames, both of Gulfport; six brothers and sisters, Marcus Shuchs,of Georgia, Donald Thames, of Missouri, Larry Thames, of Gulfport,Judy Thames, of Valparaiso, Brenda Atterbury, of LaCrosse, Ind.,and Patti Thames, Gulfport; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,and other relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m.at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.Visitation will also be held Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at WilsonFuneral Home, Monticello, and a funeral service will be Friday at 2p.m. the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in Roberts Cemetery, Jayess.
