Services for Jimmy Dale Evans, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m.Monday, March 22, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans, 65, died March 19, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter. He was born on Feb. 12, 1945, to Reggie Dale Evans andNancy Mavis Jones Evans.

He was retired from Georgia-Pacific paper mill, where he worked inthe shipping department for 32 years. He was a member of UnionBaptist Church and served in the U.S. Army National Guard MilitaryPolice.

Preceding him in death was his father, Reggie Dale Evans; and hisson, Brian Dahl.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Roberts Evans; his mother, NancyMavis Jones Evans; his son, Kenneth Evans and wife, Carol, ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Brenda Evans Smith and husband, Tim, ofBrookhaven, Belinda Evans Speed and husband, Kenny, of Collins, andKristina Evans Brumfield and husband, Steven, of Bogue Chitto; hisbrother, Billy Evans and wife, Mary, of Prentiss; his sisters,Janice Gatewood and husband, James, of Prentiss, and Rita Cliburnand husband, Mancel, of Harrisville; his grandchildren, ReggieJones and wife, Kim, Todd Jones, Nicole Smith, Scott, Trent andCeleste Evans, Kristen Bishop and husband, Matthew, SamanthaFalvey, and Adam, Evan and Karlianna Brumfield; and many nieces andnephews.
