Services for Otha L. Alexander, of Jayess, are 2 p.m. Sunday,March 21, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. The Revs. Ray Bowling and Marty Givens willofficiate. Catchings Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Alexander, 95, died March 19, 2010, at Silver Cross NursingHome. He was born in Lawrence County on March 16, 1915, to BennyAlexander and Adeline Beard Alexander.

He was a self-employed plumber. He was a member of Calvary UnitedPentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Benny and AdelineAlexander; his wife, Rhoda Mae Barnett Alexander; his sons, GordonM. Alexander and Daniel Alexander; two brothers; and threesisters.

Survivors are his sons, Benny Alexander and wife, Betty, ofGoodlettsville, Tenn., Gerald Alexander and Therl Alexander andwife, Sherrie, all of Brookhaven, Arlon Alexander and wife,Shirley, of Jayess, and Carey Alexander and wife, Inez, of Raymond;his daughters, Kay Barnett and husband, Steve, of Monticello, andMarilyn Thornhill and husband, Paul, of Jayess; his brother,Clarence Alexander, of Jayess; his daughter-in-law, Ann Alexander,of Vidalia, La.; and numerous grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ben Alexander, Doyle Alexander, DannyAlexander, Rodney Alexander, Graig Alexander and BrandonBarnett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Landon Thornhill, Michael Alexander,David Alexander, Ernie Milum, Mark Smith, Mark Lindsey, Kevin Catesand Johnny Franks.
