Mickey Smith, of Loyd Star, announces the engagement andapproaching marriage of his daughter, Barbara Jean Smith, of LoydStar, to Jimmy Derrick Clark, of Jayess.

He is the son of Jimmy Dale and Libby Clark, of Jayess.

She is the granddaughter of Horce Hoyt Smith and the late DorothyJean Smith.

He is the grandson of the late Eugene “Sonny” Conn and late JoAnnBullock Conn, of Jayess, and Rosie Clark, of Ruth, and the lateEarl Clark.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center,and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Enterprise AttendanceCenter. He is employed with James Construction Group, of BatonRouge, La.

The wedding is 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10 2010, at ProvidenceBaptist Church in Jayess. A reception will follow.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and thereception.
