Brookhaven’s Scott Peavey made short work of the Forest HillPatriots Thursday night, at Moyer Field. The junior right-handerneeded 3 innings in allowing one hit, one walk; while striking out9 batters in a 14-0 Region 5-5A win over the visitingPatriots.

Brookhaven hosts Terry for a junior varsity/varsity twinbillSaturday, beginning at 10 a.m. with the JV game. The varsity game’sfirst pitch is set for noon.

The Panthers (12-5, 5-1) pounded out 13 hits in the game. SeniorZach Halliwell led the charge with a single, double, aninside-the-park homerun and 3 runs scored. Peavey aided his causeat the plate with a pair of triples and 3 runs scored. ElliottMcKee singled twice. Collecting singles were Gabe Wilson, ChrisSeals, J.B. Perkins, Patrick Valentine and E.J. Henderson.

“It was a good win for us,” said Panther head coach RandySpring.

Forest Hill, coached by Gary Alderman, got a single from DillonJacque. The Patriots fell to 2-13 overall and 0-6 in Region 5-5Aplay.
