Mr. and Mrs. Samuel William Smith, of Brookhaven, announce theengagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Anna MarieSmith, to George Perry Thomas, of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

He is the son of Anna Warner, of Sarasota, Fla., and the lateRobert Vernon Thomas.

She is the granddaughter of the late Lawrence G. and Vivian M.Layfield, of San Pablo, Calif., and Frank and Mary Williams, ofRichmond, Va.

He is the grandson of the late Robert and Venita Jordan, and Georgeand Martha Thatcher.

The bride-elect is a 1991 graduate of John Sweat High School inCrockett, Calif., and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College inWesson. She has been employed for the past 12 years as theassistant general manager at Comfort Inn in Brookhaven.

The prospective groom is a 1986 graduate of Silverton Union HighSchool in Silverton, Ore., and 2006 graduate of Purdue Universityin Ft. Wayne, with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Heis employed as a computer technician with Netlink Solutionz.

The wedding is 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Lincoln CivicCenter in Brookhaven. A reception will immediately follow at thesame location.
