Lefroi Elbert ‘Frog’ Smith

Services for Lefroi Elbert “Frog” Smith, of Summit, were 11 a.m.Monday, April 19, at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb withburial in Hollywood Cemetery. Dr. Larry LeBlanc and the Rev. BobLynch will officiate.

Mr. Smith, 84, died after a lengthy illness on April 16, 2010, atSouthwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. He was born inLincoln County on April 28, 1925, to the late Eunice Adams Smithand Elbert Smith, of Summit.

He was a long-time employee of Sherman Construction and ClarkConstruction. He was the superintendent of many local buildingprojects, such as SMRMC, and numerous building on the SouthwestMississippi Community College campus.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Summit, where he workedon several building projects. He will be remembered as a hardworker who took care of his family. He will be sadly missed by allwho knew and loved him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his infant brother,Clifton Smith; and his wife of 64 years, Kathleen Stone Smith.
