Services for Amandy Haynes Green, of Ruth, are 4 p.m. onSaturday, April 24, at New Bethany Missionary Baptist Church inJayess, with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Green, 79, died April 19, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Lawrence County on Jan. 13, 1932, to Leslie Haynes Sr. and EthelBrown Haynes.

She was retired. She was a member of New Bethany M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, L.J. GreenSr. and James S. May; her son, Hedrick May; her brothers, LeslieHaynes Jr., Leroy Haynes, John Haynes, Exel Haynes and ClydeHaynes; and her sisters, Vedia Mae Roberson and BernicePittman.

Survivors are her sons, L.J. Green Jr. and wife Kitty, and JamesMay and wife Elaine, all of Brookhaven, Marchie Ray Green and wifePatricia, of Monticello, and Sherard Green and wife Angie, ofMemphis, Tenn.; her daughters, Linda Ruth May and Shelia May, bothof Ruth, Gloria Jean Love and husband Lonnie, of Bogue Chitto,Cherry Diane Winston, of Brookhaven; her 20 grandchildren, 36great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a hostof nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
