Graveside services for Earnest McClendon, of Monticello, are 11a.m. on Saturday, April 24, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery inMonticello. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday at Rocky Branch Baptist Church inMonticello, from 10 a.m. until the time of the graveside servicesat the cemetery.

Mr. McClendon, 96, died April 18, 2010, at his residence. He wasborn in Lawrence County on May 2, 1913, to Richmond McClendon andAlice McClendon.

He was retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife, CarolineMoses Houston McClendon.

Survivors are his great-nephew, Earnest Martin, of Monticello; anda host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
