Services for Charles Eric “Chuck” Johnson, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Alexander Junior High School, with burialin the Lloyd Family Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson, 48, died April 23, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Sept. 4, 1961.

He was a 1980 graduate of Brookhaven High School, and attendedSouthwest Mississippi Community College. He was employed withDiamond Offshore Drilling Company for 12 years, and with Wal-Martfor 10 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church.

Preceding him in death were his father, Ezell Robert Johnson Jr.;his grandparents, Robert and Hannah Green; his paternalgrandparents, Ezell Robert Johnson Sr. and Bessie Lee Johnson; hisson, Chance Johnson; and his sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Wilson.

Survivors are his wife, Charlene V. Johnson, of Brookhaven; hismother, Betty Green Johnson, of Brookhaven; his sons, Chad Johnson,of Byram, and Julious Whittaker, of Brookhaven; his daughters,Candice Johnson, of Byram, Chuvaquah Williams and Kirstien Johnson,both of Champaign, Ill., Shara Johnson, of Hattiesburg andKenBriana Whittaker, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Shelia Johnson, ofBrookhaven, and Missy Tanner, of Wesson; his six grandchildren; anda host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
