Services for Mary Idell Chapman, of Baton Rouge, La., formerlyof Union Church, are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Union ChurchBaptist Church in Union Church, with burial in Union ChurchCemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service atthe church.

Mrs. Chapman, 87, died May 19, 2010, at Hospice Ministries of BatonRouge. She was born in McCall Creek on Nov. 30, 1922, to Arthur L.Wilson and Beulah Smith Wilson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Carl H.Chapman; her son-in-law, C. Denton Mosley; and her brothers,Carroll R. Wilson and Clyde Wilson; and her sister, MargieMontgomery.

Survivors are her son, Cecil L. Chapman and wife Anne JonesChapman, of Canton, Ga.; her daughters, Nancy C. Mosley and KarlaC. Browning and husband Darnell Browning, all of Baton Rouge; hersister, Joy Craddock of Denham Springs, La.; her grandchildren,Cheryl Hawley, of Houston, Texas, Kim Starett, of Florida, CarolMosley, Dr. Carrie Cooper, Danielle Browning, and SummerZettlemoyer, all of Baton Rouge, Tammy Padgette, of Canton, Ga.,and Brad Browning, of Port Allen, La.; and her great-grandchildren,Ryan, Craig, Chapman, Caitlin, Cade, Tori, Casey, Brittney, Mayaand Skylar.
