Lonnie Baker and LaTosha Johnson-Allen, of Brookhaven announcetheir engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Shirley Johnson, of Brookhaven, and the lateBobby Johnson.

He is the son of Charles and Josie Carter, of Brookhaven, and thelate Lonnie Baker Sr.

She is the granddaughter of Johnnie Mae Jones, of Brookhaven, andthe late Simmie Jones, and Marie Peterson, of Seattle, Wash.

He is the grandson of the late Allean Baker, A.J. Smith andEarnestine Smith, all of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a1997 graduate of Alcorn State University. She is employed withBoswell Regional Center.

The prospective groom is a 1993 graduate of Brookhaven High Schooland a 1997 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He isemployed as a driver with Continental Carbonics.

The wedding is 3 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Lincoln CivicCenter. A reception will follow at the same location.
