Mary Bland Norwood, 89, of Bogue Chitto, died June 3, 2010, atSilver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born May 21, 1921,in Monroe, La. She was the daughter of John Pitts Woods and EvaKing Woods. She was retired from Marxman Industries inHazlehurst.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, JamesBland; second husband, Cecil Norwood; one brother, Robert Woods andthree sisters, Wilma Milligan, Thelma Bastian and EvelynVarnes.

She is survived one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and DennisKellogg, of Bogue Chitto; one brother, J.D. Woods, of Vicksburg;one sister, Francis Henderson, of Wesson; three grandchildren,James Walters, of Wesson, Ronald Bueto, of Bogue Chitto, and BillyBeuto, of McComb; 10 great-grandchildren and 10great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Hartman-SharkeyFuneral Home in McComb with the Rev. Gary Harper officiating.Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Wesson.
