W.H. ‘Booty’ Jackson

Funeral services for W.H. “Booty” Jackson, of Brookhaven, are 3p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel, withburial in Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven. Dr. Jerry Robinson willofficiate, assisted by Bro. Garland Boyd.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Jackson, 81, died June 7, 2010, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on May 6, 1929, to Luther H. Jackson and FannieMae Allen Jackson.

He was self-employed as a bricklayer and masonry contractor. Hewas a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was amember of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson enjoyed hunting,sports and coaching youth baseball.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Dean AlanJackson; and his brothers, Vernon R. Jackson and Bill W.Jackson.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, LaNelle Hoskins Jackson, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Julie J. Britt and husband Cody, ofWesson; his brother, Inlow Jackson and wife Elaine, of Terry; andhis two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MississippiChildren’s Home Services or Macedonia Baptist Church Youth.
